Blurb: A Collars & Cuffs Story
Since the death of his submissive lover two years ago, Leo hasn’t been living—merely existing. He focuses on making Collars & Cuffs, a BDSM club in Manchester’s gay village, successful. That changes the night he and his business partner have their weekly meeting at Severinos. Leo can’t keep his eyes off the new server. The shy man seems determined to avoid Leo’s gaze, but that’s like a red rag to a bull. Leo loves a challenge.
Alex Daniels works at Severinos to scrape together the money to move out on his own. He struggles with coming out, but he’s drawn to Leo, the gorgeous guy with the icy-blue eyes who’s been eating in his area nearly every night.
Leo won’t let Alex’s hesitance get in the way. He even keeps him away from the club so as not to scare him. And as for telling Alex that Leo is a Dom? Not a good idea. One date becomes two, but date two leads to Leo’s bedroom… and Alex discovers things about himself he never realized—and never wanted anyone to see.
Review: It´s been a while since a book pushed my buttons like this. I guess it was Catalyst, the last one that made me want to crawl to my knees, literally.
And that is the best feeling, at least when you are reading BDSM.
It has to be real, it has to be safe, and it has to be consensual…all that and a bit more you´ll get from An Unlocked Heart.
The MCs, both are great characters. I absolutely adored Alex, as a brother, a friend, someone that called to all my motherly instincts. I wanted to give him all the love, hugs and support his mother was denying him. I felt so protective of him.
For Leo, I wanted to fall to my knees and just please him. What an amazing Dom, what a great person.
When you feel like you know the characters, there is no better feeling – for me, than to feel like those characters are real.
Leo lost his lover and sub in a tragic accident years ago, he hasn’t been the same since. And Alex arrives just in time to bring him back to life.
So here is not just about the BDSM, and the new relationship; it is also about second chances at life and love.
With secondary characters and sub plots that totally rock, this book is a gem.
One thing tho, the mention of that infamous book, OMG! the first conversation was funny, because these Doms were actually having a laugh at how clueless the author is about the lifestyle, but then it got old.
Be prepared for some of the hottest sex scenes I’ve read in months! Being a natural sub, all the interactions between Alex and Leo are charged with sexual tension. Alex doesn’t understand at first why or what is going on, he can’t identify why the need to please Leo is so strong, why it is so easy to relinquish control and leave Leo to make all decisions.
His journey of discovery is an interesting one. And I loved seeing him become the sub Leo always knew he was.
And for Leo it is a journey back to feeling alive, learn to love again, feel that love and cherish it.
Emotions, emotions, emotions…I want more!
Good thing this is part of a series.
