Blurb:  Sex in Seattle: Book Two

Business tycoon Daniel Derenzo lives for his work until his dying father reminds him life is short. When Daniel starts to reevaluate his world he experiences a startling revelation—he’s attracted to his business partner and best friend, Nick, even though Daniel always believed himself to be straight. In typical type-A fashion, Daniel dissects his newfound desires with the help of the experts at the Expanded Horizons sex clinic. He goes after Nick with the fierce determination that’s won him many a business deal.

Nick Ross was in love with Daniel years ago, when they were roommates in college. But Daniel was straight and Nick patched his broken heart by marrying Marcia. Two kids and fourteen years later, they go through the motions of their marriage like ships passing in the night. But Nick’s kids mean the world to him, and he’s afraid he’ll never get joint custody if they divorced. If he can trust his heart to an awakening Daniel, they all might find their way to a happily ever after.

Review: I really enjoy Eli Easton’s stories.  I’ve yet to read one I didn’t like.  The first book in the series The Trouble With Tony was great.  I read this blurb and thought fun, cute, funny, sexy and sweet, sign me up.  And it was all those things and then it was more and even more.  This book is awesome.

Daniel is an anal retentive, controlling shark who has spent his entire life obsessed with success and image.  He has achieved everything he set out to do professionally, and with his partner, Nick helping him remember that he is a good person, managed to be a guy who takes over companies and makes them better before he sells them off for a profit.  The impression I was left with was think “flipping houses” only replace the houses with businesses.

Nick is kind, generous and a devoted father.  The transition to a more intimate relationship with Daniel is a natural and easy step for Nick, other than his children, Daniel has been the center of his world since the day they met.  His marriage seemed doomed from the start and he has been suffering in silence for years to be able to remain a constant presence in his childrens’ lives. I ached for Nick and his situation.  There were no easy answers and he tried so hard to do the right thing and be the man his children needed. He deserved to be happy, loved and valued for the wonderful man that he is.

Daniel and Nick have been best friends since they were roommates in college.  With Daniel as the driving force and brains and Nick as the heart and worker bee. There was so much caring, respect and sheer enjoyment of who the other person is, in their relationship.  And that was before sex and romantic love was on the table.  They’d been friends for a long time and even though they had lost some of their non-work interaction together, with hectic schedules and personal lives, they were still central to each other’s world.

I loved the relationship between these men, in all of the stages that it went through.  As young men experiencing their first taste of freedom and independence to the men they become, remaining friends throughout.  When they finally admit that they are in love they are amazing.  There is so much love between them, there is no question that they will support and aid each other in any way they can.

I loved the relationship between Daniel and his dad.  It was sad and marvelous and very important.  He had tied his son up emotionally and bound him in a bunch of unnecessary values for money, prestige and power that held him back from happiness.  Then he set him free and helped him to find everything he needed to be the man who Nick had always known was there.

So this book will get you with it’s humor, fun and sweetness.  You will be reading along and be having a great time and then it will grab you by the heart and it will keep becoming more and more.  Then it will be beautiful and when you finish you will sigh and be so glad that you read this.
