Blurb:  George Owens is comfortable with his life just the way it is. A wolf- and fox-shifter, George leads a reclusive lifestyle with his energetic and diva-ish mate Billy, a fox- and squirrel-shifter.

George has no desire to take over leadership of the pack, despite his father’s wishes. Edward Owens is feeling his age and wants to make sure the pack is in good hands should he not be able to win his next challenge. However, George is adamant that he wants no part of it.

But events rock George from his complacency, and he realizes he has to take a stand and fight for what he cares about. If he remains in the past and cannot change in order to do what he must, he risks losing everything he loves.

Review:  A sweet and charming shifter love story.

These guys are really in love. Like gooey, overwhelming, crazy in love. And they tell each other all about it all of the time. It is really sweet and a little silly, and very nice.

George is big and outdoorsy and loves to spend time as his wolf or fox. He is a lot older than his mate and while that has given him the benefit of experience and a true appreciation of his lovely mate and the blessing that he is, it also makes him a little nervous. He truly loves his mate and is so happy in his mating. Their bond is very sweet and emotional.

George is the next in line to lead his traditional wolf pack. He is hesitant to try to fill his father’s impressive shoes and he doesn’t want to risk his mate and the happy, simple life they have built together. He spends a lot of his time in denial and trying to avoid the future. Unfortunately for him there is no hiding from the real world or the scheming people around him.

Billy is so freaking cute. His bigger form is as a fox, but his second is a squirrel and he is adorable and squeaky when he shifts into that one. His smaller size, in any of his forms, should not in any way make anyone underestimate him. He is a driving force and while he has moments of fear of the bigger predatory animals that surround him he doesn’t take crap from anybody.

Billy is a self proclaimed diva, and he uses that persona to protect himself and hide his sweet and vulnerable heart. He is completely devoted to his mate and willing to do whatever he needs to keep his mate healthy and happy. Sometimes he needs a reminder that he shouldn’t hide his needs and fears from his mate. And that it is okay to need his alpha mate to take charge and make him feel safe.

There are many twists and turns that our lovers will find in their life journey together. There is no doubt that they will stay together or find happiness. They just need to remember that they are destined to be together and that as long as they cling to one another when things get crazy they can weather any storm.

An entertaining story full of sweet emotion, family, pack, love and devotion. Recommended for those who love a fun shifter romance.
