Review:  You have to read the first book in this series,  The Pack or the Panther . For one because it is a fun, sweet and emotional story that you will enjoy and secondly because that is where we first meet Lindsey and he shines in that book. You will want him to get his own happy ending and be excited to read this story asap. 

Lindsey is beautiful, inside and out. He is a complicated man, there are so many things that pull him in different directions and he has never felt like he completely fit in anywhere. Born into a very rich family he was raised by his widowed mother and grandparents, who are wonderfully supportive and loving, but know nothing about his werewolf half.  He came into his shifter heritage alone, confused, and terrified. There was no one to explain what was happening to him, no one to help him, no one he could go to for help. He still tends to go it alone, which has left him feeling isolated and afraid of what his wolf tendencies might cause him to do in the heat of the moment.

Unapologetically flamboyant Lindsey learned at an early age how to defend himself and is a master in martial arts and fencing. Knowing there would be many people who wanted to hurt the obviously gay boy he knew he would have to know how to fight to keep the bullies and bigots at bay. He also knows when someone is judging him and he can spot Seth’s prejudices towards his blatant sexuality.

Seth is a cop who is investigating a series of kidnappings that target people in Lindsey’s circle. Seth doesn’t know whether to run away or seduce his way into the sexy Lindsey’s bed. I found that I wanted to smack Seth quite a lot in the beginning, his thoughts towards Lindsey were not nice and he didn’t hide his disregard. But I had to cut him some slack because he’d had a very different experience with being open about his sexuality. And because he is smart enough to see that Lindsey is a mix of wonderful contradictions and worth whatever effort and changes he brings with him.

All Lindsey wants is to find the love and acceptance that his best friend, Cole has with his partner, Paris. But he believes that will never happen for him, he always seems to be too much and not enough to ever really belong anywhere, much less find his mate. He wants Seth with a passion and intensity that leaves him afraid and addicted. Has he finally found a man who can handle his aggressive and dominant side in bed, a man strong enough to make his wolf submit? And if he has, what does he do about the whole werewolf reveal?

These men are sweet, funny and irresistible. I love Lindsey, he is so brave and bold. And while Lindsey highly values his family and his pack, and sometimes feels like he is too different, he stays true to himself. He makes no apologies, he shouldn’t have to, for his fabulousness. Both Lindsey and Seth try to help people in what they do with their lives and time. They burn up the sheets, and while intense and very hot, there is also an emotional connection and sweetness to their lovemaking that leaves little doubt that they’re perfect for each other.

A fun shifter story that is full of humor, hot sex, family, emotion, intrigue, love and a few surprises. I recommend this series for those who enjoy some humor and sexy with their shifters.
