Blurb:  Chris thought he was done with his gaming days. He’d deleted his account, gone back to his day job, and put his fantasy world days behind him… but couldn’t resist the urge to return. This time, however, he decided to play as a woman—a persona he maintains even when he makes friends with Jessica.

When Jessica offers online sex, Chris still cannot bring himself to confess his secret. As their relationship turns serious, still he cannot admit to the ruse. Then Jessica proposes they meet offline, and Chris is finally forced to confront the questions and choices he’s been avoiding…

Review:  I liked this short story. It was sexy and fun. While also talking about some complicated things like sexuality, gender identity, attraction, fetish, kink and the human need to conform, explore, categorize and limit what all of those things can mean.

Most of us have multiple identities and faces that we show to others. Many of us have online as well as real life lives that we participate in every day. If that sounds weird to you think about the days that you are at home alone and online and don’t interact with the people who populate your “real life”.

This story explores some of the things that can happen when we live out our fantasies and desires in an online environment, and beyond. And what we can discover about ourselves when we feel safe and take risks.

I enjoyed the discussion between the siblings as well as the way that Chris processed his friends opinions. I think we all have at least a little fear about losing our acceptance from others. We quickly adjust our honesty levels based on what we think a relationship can handle.

A sexy, fun and hot exploration of the lines that separate our sense of self and reality. And the boxes that are used in an attempt to define things that really don’t need to be anyone else’s business.
